• Version 1.0 of the specification is released.

• The Perl binding is fully specified and implemented (see tutorial)

• The C binding is ``two thirds done'' (Adam at Index Data)

• The C++ binding is largely specified, but almost completely unimplemented - will be done on top of the C binding.

• The Java binding is ``started'' (Ian at Knowledge Integration)

• Another Java binding may have begun (OCLC)
